General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG
Valid for products with validity from December 1, 2025
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services and products of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG. In addition, special provisions may apply when using certain services.
By purchasing a product, the customer accepts these General Terms and Conditions.
A written copy of these GTC can be obtained from Bellwald Sportbahnen AG or downloaded at https://www.bellwald.ch.
All tickets and ski passes, with the exception of single rides and points cards, are personal and non-transferable. They are only valid during published operating hours. The points card is valid for 2 years from the date of purchase. The partner ski pass for couples is transferable between the two registered partners. However, it can only be used by one of the two persons at a time. Children under six years of age ride free on all facilities of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG; the required chip card is available upon presentation of an official ID. The guest card does not entitle holders to discounts at Bellwald Sportbahnen AG in winter. In summer, discounts on single rides are granted to pedestrians.
Ski and bike passes cannot be extended after their validity has expired.
If a holder has forgotten their ski/bike pass, they must purchase a new ticket. Upon presentation and verification of the forgotten ski/bike pass, the additionally purchased ticket will be refunded at the ticket office, less a processing fee of CHF 10.-.
Lost 4-hour tickets, single rides, and points cards will not be refunded or replaced. In the event of loss or theft of other subscriptions, a one-time replacement will be issued upon presentation of the purchase receipt with the blocking number. A processing fee of CHF 10.- will be charged for issuing the replacement card.
Our card system automatically monitors key cards. The system allows unambiguous personal identification (photo comparison at the sensors) at the control points. Fraudulently used or forged tickets and ski/bike passes will be confiscated. Tickets and ski passes in use that are not fit for use may be confiscated under the same provision. The user must pay a processing fee of CHF 200.00 as well as the applicable day pass rate. Civil or criminal action remains reserved.
Services acquired through the purchase of a ticket or the ordering of the shopping cart cannot be cancelled or reversed.
For dynamically priced tickets and season passes, the integrated "Europ Assistance" insurance applies.
The insurance grants the policyholder pro rata temporis compensation for the unused portion of the ski pass due to the following events:
Official partial operation at the beginning and end of the season, communicated in advance by the policyholder, does not constitute an insured event.
In addition to the general exclusions and basic requirements for insurance benefits, the following special exclusions apply:
It is the customer's responsibility to promptly assert any refund claims with their insurance. All refund requests must be submitted to "Europ Assistance" without delay. Thereafter, the entitlement to a refund lapses.
Bellwald Sportbahnen AG recommends taking out supplementary insurance coverage for exclusions, such as cancellation cost insurance, travel accident and travel health insurance, extra return travel cost insurance, etc.
Bellwald Sportbahnen AG expressly reserves the right to change brochure information, service descriptions, and prices at short notice, as well as to close individual facilities in the event of low demand or poor weather conditions. This does not give rise to any claim for a refund or reduction.
Persons may be excluded from transport if they:
If weather conditions are unsuitable for the practice of the sport, particularly in the case of avalanche danger, persons may be excluded from transport for the practice of the sport. Furthermore, persons may be excluded from transport for the practice of a sport if, immediately before the intended transport, they endanger third parties and there is reason to believe that they will continue to endanger third parties. In case of repetition or in serious cases, the ticket or ski/bike pass may be revoked.
A danger to third parties exists in particular if the person concerned:
Daily monitoring of the runs in winter ends with the last slope check, which is usually carried out at 4:30 PM. Outside of operating hours, the runs and paths are closed. Persons under a minimum height of 1.25m may only use the chairlifts when accompanied by an adult exceeding this minimum height.
For all subscriptions of 2 days or more, as well as all multi-day tickets, a photo is taken with a digital camera at the ticket office. At the access reader, all passages are automatically recorded with a photo and may be compared by Bellwald Sportbahnen employees for control purposes. Bellwald Sportbahnen AG is entitled to use personal data for advertising purposes, exclusively for its own purposes, unless the customer expressly objects to this.
E-GUMA® vouchers are generally valid for 2 years (see date and validity period on the voucher). After this period has expired, Bellwald Sportbahnen is no longer obliged to accept it. Lost vouchers will not be replaced. Vouchers also cannot be exchanged for a cash payout. Further information on the voucher terms and conditions can be found at https://shop.eguma.ch/bellwaldsportbahnen/de/terms.
Any damage or complaints from ticket or ski/bike pass holders must be reported immediately to the staff of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG. If immediate notification is not given, the ticket or ski pass holder forfeits any claims against Bellwald Sportbahnen AG.
To the extent permitted, liability is limited to gross negligence and intentional conduct.
In the event of damage to luggage, skis, ski boots, snowboards, or bicycles, Bellwald Sportbahnen AG is only liable if these items were packed and loaded in accordance with regulations. In the event of force majeure, the transport company is exempt from liability.
Force majeure includes all unforeseeable events that occur through no fault of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG or its agents (e.g., extreme weather conditions, natural events, unforeseeable road closures, environmental disasters), which Bellwald Sportbahnen AG could not avoid despite exercising due care and whose consequences it could not prevent.
If a customer has an accident on the premises of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG and the rescue service must therefore be called, the customer will be billed for the expenses of the slope and rescue service plus material costs according to the rates of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG. Costs of third parties (e.g., Air Zermatt, Rega, doctor) are paid directly by the customer to the respective service provider. The customer must assert any refund claims with their insurance.
The contract between the customer and Bellwald Sportbahnen AG is subject to Swiss law.
The place of jurisdiction is Brig, unless mandatory statutory provisions prescribe a different place of jurisdiction.
These General Terms and Conditions enter into force on December 1, 2025.
